Upper Deck is excited for the upcoming release of the Halo Legacy Collection trading card set! Collect cards featuring fan-favorite moments and characters from the Halo games, along with inserts featuring armor, weapons, and vehicles. There are a couple options for getting your hands on these trading cards. Hobby boxes will be available at trading card and hobby stores, while blaster boxes will be available at UpperDeckStore.com and select retail locations.
If you are not familiar with the differences, the blaster boxes are more of “starters” with a better chance to collect the base set, with less variety of insert sets. However, there are some card types that are only available in the blaster boxes, while some are exclusive to the hobby boxes.
For the Halo Legacy Collection, the base set will feature characters from each of the Halo games. There are also the “The Story So Far…” cards that are an extension of the base set. For more information on the base set and its parallels, you can check out THIS blog post which focuses on these!
The blasters will be the only place you can get the regular versions of the Weapon Drop, War Machines, and Discover cards.
In the hobby boxes, there are some great cards that are serial numbered to showcase their limited nature. There are the Halo Augmented cards which are numbered to 699, plus the Augmented Gold parallel cards which are numbered to 117. Collectors can also find Halo Metal cards, which are numbered to 117.
Hobby boxes will also be where you can find the Reflex Parallel, Starry Night parallel, and Rampant numbered parallels of the Weapon Drop, War Machines, and Discover card sets. These parallel versions will have different foil or holographic effects, helping them to really stand out in your collection!
Fans will also want to look out for autographed cards, signed by voice actors from the games, including Steve Downes and Jen Taylor! The Voice Talent cards, each autographed by one voice actor, will be found in both Hobby and Blaster boxes. Collectors who open packs from the hobby boxes have a chance to pull Dual Voice Talent cards featuring a pair of autographs, or an Inscription Voice Talent Index card featuring a word or phrase from the talent.

Lastly, some of the most unique cards that can be found in the Halo Legacy Collection are the sketch cards! A collection of talented artists were recruited for these cards, which we can’t wait to see in the hands of fans and collectors.
There are additional parallels and inserts to discover in the Halo Legacy Collection, and we hope to see you share which are your favorites! Look for these cards at your local card stores starting February 12th, 2025!
