Hockey fans and collectors, mark your calendars for October 16th! 2024-25 Upper Deck Series 1 Hockey is set to hit shelves, and this release brings a perfect blend of nostalgia, innovation, and exciting new chase opportunities.
Young Guns®
With each Hobby box including 12 cards per pack and 12 packs per box, collectors will have ample opportunity to chase the iconic Young Guns® set. Falling six per box, on average, this year’s Series 1 Young Guns® roster features some of the League’s rising rookies, including Cutter Gauthier, Logan Stankoven, Lane Hutson, Matt Rempe, Josh Doan, and Mavrik Bourque. These rookie cards are the crown jewel for many collectors, making this set a must-have for anyone looking to add to their Young Guns® collection.
Young Guns Renewed
In addition to the traditional Young Guns® set, Upper Deck has introduced the new Young Guns Renewed series, a fresh take on the classics. These cards replicate past Young Guns® designs and subjects but are infused with original artwork by Luke the Cardist. Each box will contain, on average, three of these reimagined beauties, with rare Exclusives (#’d to 100) and High Gloss (#’d to 10) parallels to add an extra thrill.
New Inserts!
Another highlight is the gaming-themed insert set. This 100-card set, split into four exciting subsets—Gaming Co-Op, Gaming FOV, Gaming PVP, and Gaming XP—brings a competitive and immersive angle to the product. Printed on foilboard and with Speckle, Blue, Green (#’d), and Gold (#’d) parallels, these cards will be sure to provide great eye appeal to any collection. On average, you’ll find six regular gaming cards and one Speckle parallel in each box.
Holograms Are Back!
Lastly, for those who love a challenge, the new Holotypes chase set is bound to create buzz. This set, which boasts 30 of the NHL’s top players, marks the return of beloved hologram cards to the Upper Deck Series. The twist? Holotypes is a living set, meaning once a player appears, that will be his only Holotypes card. This set will be a Series 1-only staple for the next few seasons. These cards fall on average, 1 in every 504 packs, so collectors will definitely want to keep their eyes peeled for these.
