Things are coming to a close for these Legendary®: Marvel Studios’ The Infinity Saga previews. Sacrifices have been made, and the stakes are more dire than ever. To both add to that tension and help turn the tables, we’ve got another new keyword that’s right at home in this expansion.
Endgame
Endgame depends on the state of the game itself. Whenever the Villain Deck holds 8 cards per player or fewer, it is the Endgame. When that condition is met, cards will have access to benefits like higher attack and certain abilities they can’t use otherwise. You’ll find Endgame primarily on Villains, however Captain Marvel makes great use of it as well to show how she was just as much a game changer for the Avengers.
There are other circumstances and scenarios that can affect whether or not it’s currently the Endgame as well:
Certain cards will make it the Endgame for a turn, regardless of when they’re played. You can even make it so it’s only the Endgame for you and not the Villains! You’ll also want to be aware of scenarios where cards can be added back into the Villain Deck, since it’s possible to then bring yourself out of the Endgame. There are other times and ways where whether or not it’s the Endgame can fluctuate, or come at you suddenly – be sure to experiment with plenty of Schemes and Masterminds!
This preview means we’re officially in the Endgame as well when it comes to the wait for Legendary®: Marvel Studios’ The Infinity Saga! Keep an eye out for release details, and look forward to taking on plenty more challenges once it’s time to face…the Inevitable.
