Welcome back to the final set of previews for the Darkness and Light Arc for Vs. System 2PCG! This Arc features various forms of Darkness and Light throughout the Marvel Universe. The first 55-card Issue focused on one of the darkest teams in Marvel’s history: The Masters of Evil! The second 55-card Issue introduced Spells and highlighted the masters of the Mystic Arts! This final Issue, Into the Darkness, takes a dark turn into the world of the denizens of darkness! Let’s go dark!
More like “Volunteers”! When Evil Scientist does move a character to your side, the change is permanent (until it’s KO’d of course, when it goes to its owner’s KO pile).
To summarize, when Level 2 Deacon is melee attacking a supporting character and stuns it:
If the defender gets KO’d and he survives, Vampire will give him a vitality counter.
And if the defender gets wounded but not KO’d, then his Doppelgänger Powers will give you a copy of that character.
And Deacon isn’t done!
Sucky.
Let’s take a break from this level of immoral Evil with a new card:
Oh no, that’s not a break! Who chose these cards?!
Note: The steps in her evolution are all mandatory, and if she can’t resolve one of them, she still moves on to the next one at the start of your next Main Phase.
At least, let’s choose someone who’s not Evil for our next card.
So, the Venn diagram in this article for “Scientist” and “Vampire” is just a circle? Got it!
Note: If you want Morbius to attack a character on your side with The Hunger, it works just like any other combat. He must be ready before he attacks, then must exhaust when he attacks. Then players can play plot twists (yes, enemy players can play plot twists to help the defender if they are worded as such), etc.
Not a fun hang, so to speak.
But we hope it’s been a fun hang for you as you read this!
Come back next time for the main event: our final preview for the Arc, starring you-know-who!
Let the hunt begin when Vs. System 2PCG: Into the Darkness arrives on April 14th!

How does the Cancel effect work for Deacon? Is that a Reaction power for the opponent, or is it only played during the opponent’s Build phase? The wording is unclear.
In Vs. System 2PCG you must resolve the Super Power before moving on. Part of Evil Scientist allows the character being moved to pay a Might producing Location to cancel the Super Power. Since this is a part of Evil Scientist, it must happen during the resolution of Evil Scientist.
