When it comes to engaging fans and bringing them closer to the game, nobody succeeds there in the collectibles industry like Upper Deck. At the 2019 NHL® All-Star Weekend, the sports collectibles leader engaged fans with numerous activation opportunities. Take a look at what went down!

Upper Deck brought in two athletes to sign free autographs for fans during the NHL Fan Fair event. First up was San Jose Sharks legend; Owen Nolan. He was wonderful with fans and was able to work through everyone in the long line waiting to meet him!

Next up was Anaheim Ducks All-Star Goalie; John Gibson. Ducks fans came out in force to grab a graph from one of their top talents!

Upper Deck worked hard to engage fans who visited the company’s booth with some awesome experiences. The opportunity to have your very own Upper Deck card printed on site was a big draw as always. Professional photographers worked with fans to get them camera ready and produced Upper Deck cards for them right on site.

One of the cooler moments was when a fan shared a now vintage personalized card he had done with Upper Deck back in 1996. As you can see, the cards we make today look MUCH better than when we first started this program with fans.

This was one of the first personalized cards we ever created.

And here he is at All-Star! These are definitely keepsakes!

Upper Deck’s Puck-O activation had fans all smiles as they scored a variety of cool prizes. Even NHL mascots jumped at the chance to play!

Fans who signed up for Upper Deck e-Pack™ scored an awesome All-Star poster!

The Stanford Band in particular were big fans of the Game-Dated Moments cards on e-Pack!

The fun of All-Star is all the different fans you see at Fan Fair. So we did our best to bring some cool items from every team to surprise fans with. They were thrilled with some of the goodies we had for them!

This Avs fan was blown away to score a Joe Sakic jersey card.

His dad is going to have to explain who this player is to this young Habs fan, but he was all smiles after receiving this card from our staff.

These Flyers fans loved grabbing a Nolan Patrick rookie jersey patch card from UD staff!

Upper Deck staff didn’t just keep busy at Fan Fair. Members of the Talent Acquisitions team conducted numerous signings for upcoming releases with top All-Stars. As we shared images, fans got the opportunity to check out what some of the new releases would look like.

The shine on 2018-19 NHL® O-Pee-Chee Platinum was nothing short of brilliant.

When signing 2018-19 NHL® Engrained, athletes commented on how cool the substrates were for this product as it feels like wood.

Making sure red-hot rookie Elias Pettersson signed all his 2018-19 NHL® SP Authentic Future Watch autograph rookie cards was a huge get. He even added his debut date as an inscription on the first 50 cards.

We were even able to score some older autographs from David Pastrnak who won the 2019 NHL All-Star Accuracy Challenge. Looks like he was pretty accurate with his autograph too!

All in all it was a weekend fans in attendance will remember for years to come! Thanks San Jose!
