When we heard Hayden Bradley’s San Jose Sharks Make-A-Wish story, we were understandably moved.

As part of Upper Deck’s ongoing Heroic Inspirations program, we wanted to step up after his uncle contacted our team about making a rookie card for Hayden. We worked with the NHL®, the San Jose Sharks, the Sharks Foundation and Hayden’s family to surprise him with the trading card. We arranged to have the card revealed for Hayden and his family, with the help of Sharkie, before the last preseason home game of the season.

It made for a very memorable evening as his parents were moved by seeing Hayden’s card.

Then when the gates were open to the fans, Upper Deck and the Sharks Foundation did something very unique. Fans could score an autographed version of Hayden’s Young Guns Rookie card as a gift with donation to Make-A-Wish through the Sharks Foundation. The outpouring of support was really memorable as fans enjoyed meeting Hayden, hearing about his experience and to hear how he is currently doing.

Together we raised some fund and created some incredible memories for a great cause and a great young man. Thanks for your inspiration Hayden!
