Behind every great athlete is a dedicated mother—a support system if you will. There are moms who have spent tireless hours to help their child have the best opportunity to succeed. From gas-guzzling road trips traversing from different hockey towns to sacrificing personal time to spend frigid mornings watching practice at the rink to washing out that all-too-familiar grisly equipment odor; they truly don’t get enough glory.
There is no shortage of attributes used to describe the invaluable contributions that moms make to the sports world. It is a perpetual juggling act performed to perfection over and over again. Now, it is our time to return the favor. Thanking our moms should be habitual, but for this Mother’s Day, we spell All-Star, “M-O-M.”
There comes a point in your life when you realize that certain moms are different. What makes these All-Star moms stand out from the rest? In what ways do they exceeded expectations and go that extra mile to create those special memories for their kids? WE want to hear from YOU.
As always, there isn’t a right or wrong answer here. Every mother–and parent for that matter—is certainly special in their own right! However, there are some that deserve to be recognized as All-Stars.
To nominate a mother you feel is most deserving of the title (yes moms, you can nominate yourselves), please email us at [email protected] with the subject line “2015 Upper Deck All-Star Moms” with the following three pieces of information:
- Please write out eight sentences or less as to why you feel your nomination should be championed with Upper Deck’s prestigious title of All-Star Mom.
- Please send a jpeg image of the mom you are nominating helping her kid(s) excel in the sport they love. Higher resolution images work best for us. This is a VERY key part of the decision on who will ultimately win so try to get a great photograph!
- Instagram & Twitter: Mention @UpperDeckSports using #UDAllStarMom
- Please include full name, address and phone number for the mom you nominate.
Emails must be received by Friday, May 1. Upper Deck will select the candidate that most skillfully conveys the fun of collecting with mom in their picture and written submission on Friday, May 1 to be one of Upper Deck’s All-Star Moms. There is no cost to participate in this promotion, entry is absolutely FREE!
We will be selecting five (5) winners to be recognized as Upper Deck All-Star Moms, so what are you waiting for? Winning moms will receive 100 Upper Deck personalized trading cards of their kid(s) and Upper Deck memorabilia or trading cards. Check out the FULL RULES.
