It’s time to get hype and prepare to collect cards of your favorite players from the 2022 and 2023 Call of Duty League seasons. Fans will be able to purchase either Blaster boxes or Hobby boxes. This set will have new designs for player cards, Team Checklists, Home Series Hype, and Dominated Die Cuts. Fans will also be able to collect new inserts such as the Hired Guns, Star Rookies, and Quickstrike Lenticular cards. This blog post will give you a first look at the cards that will be available!
There is plenty to get excited about, and this post will cover the highlights of this set. First let’s start with the base set. There are 100 cards in the base set: 50 players from the 2022 season in a classic style player card, and then the same 50 players in a variant design. You will also be able to find these cards in a Platinum parallel, a Blaster exclusive Diamond Parallel, and a Hobby exclusive Gold Parallel that is numbered to 99.
Retro cards, a fan favorite from the previous set, will be returning with fresh design. These will also feature the same 50 players from the base set.
Three more inserts that will be returning are the Team Checklists, Dominated Die Cuts, and Home Series Hype cards. All three of these inserts will have new designs as well. The Team Checklists will be die-cut to the shape of a controller, featuring the four main players from each team. The Dominated Die Cuts in this set will be shaped like the Call of Duty League icon. Then, the Home Series Hype cards will look like event badges. Collectors can also find Gold parallels numbered to 99 for all three of these inserts in the hobby boxes.
If you’re an autograph collector, Solo, Duo, and Trio Ink cards return in this set. Fans will only be able to find solo inks in blaster boxes, but hobby boxes will have all three. New for the hobby boxes, collectors can find special Gold parallels of all three types of autograph cards. Solo Ink Gold parallels will be numbered to 30. Duo Ink Gold parallels will be numbered to 15, and Trio Ink Gold parallels will be numbered to 10.
A new insert you can find in hobby boxes is the Hired Guns insert. This card features players who have played for multiple teams in their different jerseys. You might be able to find an Asim card showing him when he played for the Los Angeles Guerillas and then the London Royal Ravens. Or, you might be more interested in a Methodz card, featuring him in the Toronto Ultra jersey and the Boston Breach jersey. Additionally, you can find Gold parallels of the Hired Guns cards numbered to 30.
Also new this set will be the Star Rookies cards, featuring rookie players from the 2023 season. These cards will also have a Platinum parallel, and gold parallel numbered to 50. Hobby box collectors will also want to keep their eyes out for the special Rookie of the Year variant featuring Pred! This is only available in the Platinum and Gold parallels, with the Gold parallel numbered to 5.
Lastly is the Quickstrike card, which is a 3D lenticular card showcasing the main four players on a team. This insert will be found in both blaster and hobby boxes
Hobby boxes can be found in hobby and card stores (check the store locator below), and blaster boxes will be available on UpperDeckStore.com starting December 11th, 2024 and have fewer inserts than the hobby boxes. However, they will have exclusive Diamond parallels of the base and variant cards, as well as the Star Rookies insert.
Hopefully you have enjoyed this preview of the 2022-23 Call of Duty League trading cards. We can’t wait to see what you pull and hear which cards are your favorites!
