The Halo Legacy Collection trading card set is coming soon from Upper Deck! Fans will be able to collect cards featuring favorite characters, weapons, vehicles, locations, and moments from the game franchise’s rich history. In this blog post, you’ll be able to learn more about the base set for this exciting new collection.
The first part of the base set focuses on characters from the Halo games. There are 9 cards for each of the 10 main games (Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo Wars, Halo 3: ODST, Halo: Reach, Halo 4, Halo 5: Guardians, Halo Wars 2, and Halo Infinite). The second half of the base set, named “The Story So Far…” focuses on key moments from each of the 10 main games. Together, these add up to 180 cards in the base set.
There are some unique parallels of the base cards that you’ll be able to collect in both the Hobby and Blaster boxes. Parallels feature the same main design, but either changes the foil used, are printed on holographic foilboard, or both! Some parallels are exclusive to either Hobby or Blaster boxes, and a few are in both.
Starting with foil parallels, there are two which can be found in both types of boxes. These are the Spartan Ops parallel with green foil, and the Great Journey parallel with purple foil. A parallel that is exclusive to the hobby boxes is the Zealot parallel. These cards have gold foil and are serial numbered to 25, making them great collectibles!
As for cards printed on foilboard, there are the Overshield and Slipspace parallels, which are both exclusive to the blaster boxes. The Overshield parallel is printed on a wavy holographic foilboard. The Slipspace parallel (which can only be found for the character base cards) is printed on foilboard with a bubble cluster holographic effect.
Halo fans will be able to discover even more exciting cards and parallels in the Halo Legacy Collection, available soon!
