For fans of the game Overwatch®, you’ll be happy to know that there are some great inserts that feature Overwatch® characters in the Blizzard Entertainment Legacy Collection trading card set! Released on November 22nd, the Blizzard Entertainment Legacy Collection has trading cards covering the vast repertoire of games created by Blizzard Entertainment. The set is now available on the Upper Deck e-Pack web site. In this blog, I’ll be highlighting some of the inserts that focus on the game Overwatch!
The world of Overwatch® is vibrant and full of heroes with different powerful abilities. Apart from some of the newer heroes to the game, most are represented in the base set, Emotes! and Ultimate Ready inserts. The base set of the Blizzard Entertainment Legacy Collection has characters from World of Warcraft®, StarCraft®, Heroes of the Storm®, Overwatch®, and more. This also means that any base set parallels with different foil effects can include heroes featured in the base set, such as the Spectral parallel, numbered D.I.S.C.O. parallel, or the 1 of 1 Gold Spectrum parallel!
Base card and Legendary Gold
The Ultimate Ready insert set has images of Overwatch® heroes as they activate their ultimate abilities. They also have the ultimate ready icon with a special type of ink that activates when exposed to cold! The base is blue, then there is the Null Sector Purple, with Talon Red being the hardest to find. There are also a few parallels, including the Ultimate Ready Null Sector Charged numbered to 10 and the Ultimate Ready Talon Charged 1 of 1.

Lastly, there’s the Emotes! insert that is a lenticular card, which shows the card focus in motion. For these, each Overwatch® hero will be performing one of their signature emotes from in-game. As examples, you can pull Ana having a break with her “Tea Time” emote, or Brigitte hugging her cat Mitzi in her emote “Katt.” You can also pull different rarities, with the background color changing based on the rarity of the card.
