Greetings faithful Vs. System 2PCG fans! Welcome to our final look at the Maximum Carnage Issue for the Symbiotes Arc for the game. The first 55-card Issue in the Arc, Lethal Protectors, focused on Venom and some other symbiotes. It introduced a new Evil team, the Symbiotes (). The second Issue, which we will look again today, takes a look at some more characters in Carnage’s orbit. The final Issue involves some Spider-Friends who are involved with symbiotes.
Before we look at the cards, a reminder about symbiotes, hosts, and AKA. From the rules:
AKA is used quite a bit in the Arc, as the Symbiotes change hosts often. And it can be confusing with symbiotes in particular, as they are sentient beings as well. For example, the character Venom could have the AKA of every other hero and villain who ever used the same symbiote, like Agent Venom. Then Agent Venom would need AKA Venom as well. But we’ve already made Venoms and Agent Venoms without these AKAs. Our solution was to focus on the hosts, so any character with Eddie Brock as its host has AKA Venom.
Let’s go!
Have you ever thought to yourself, “Self, what we need more than anything is a different color goblin”?
Even worse than the green version, in my opinion. Yikes.
Speaking of characters who got to “enjoy” the Carnage symbiote at some point:
Scarlet, get it? (Looks like a lot of fun at parties.)
Well, this next character likes technology, so how bad could she be?
Not that bad, actually! She is really taking this symbiote thing to heart!
Well, after all that, I need a break. Maybe this next card can provide it?
You know what they always say: there are four “eyes” in ‘Sleeper’.
Remember that Stealth means that he can melee attack protected characters.
I can’t take much more of this, maybe one more card…
Just what they needed, another Plot Twist! Always trying to make everyone a symbiote.
Well, that’s all for now. Join us next time as we look at some good guys who might be able to fight this evil, or at least team up with it?
Carnage will reign when Vs. System 2PCG: Maximum Carnage unleashes in stores November 17.
