Recently a collector reached out to Upper Deck’s Customer Care Department wondering if he received the correct card for his Alexis Lafreniere 2020 MVP NHL Draft #1 Pick Redemption. His redemption card showed DP-1A as the card number, but the card he received showed DP-1

We checked with the Product Development Team and found the customer did receive the right card. There are two versions of this card, and they share the same DP-1 on the back. So how do you tell them apart? The Gold version features a close-up shot of Alexis Lafreniere.

This card is the GOLD version of Alexis’ #1 Draft pick redemption in MVP.

The standard version of the redemption features a different photo with a different pose as seen below.

This is the standard regular version of the Alexis Lafreniere MVP #1 Draft Pick card.
