Brody the Kid is an amazing young ambassador for the hobby of collecting trading cards. This youngster is on a mission to get more kids involved in collecting and he is serving as the official kid host of the 2021 National Sports Collectors Convention. Of course Brody has his own YouTube Channel dedicated to educating kids on the fun aspects of the hobby and he has his own website as well.

Recently, Brody experienced a seizure and was diagnosed with epilepsy. He made the difficult decision to go public with this diagnosis to serve as an inspiration for others battling epilepsy, especially kids. The outpouring of support for this young hobbyist has been amazing and at Upper Deck we wanted to do something special to recognize Brody for his bravery.

Upper Deck has added Brody to the company’s Heroic Inspirations program. Chris Carlin from Upper Deck shared a blow-up Heroic Inspirations card with Brody during the company’s presentation to fans on the Mike Berkus main stage on Thursday at the National Sports Collectors Convention.

“I am so pumped for him,” said his mother, Sheri. “He has such a passion for The Hobby and excitement for getting more kids to collect, so for him to have his own card is literally a dream come true for Brody!”

Upper Deck’s Chris Carlin honored Brody with the card.

Brody signed a copy of the card that will be framed and hung at Upper Deck’s corporate headquarters on the “Wall of Inspiration.”

“We are huge fans of Brody the Kid,” said Chris Carlin, Upper Deck’s head of customer experience. “It is really frightening what he’s been through and I am just blown away by how positive he has been through it all. He has a contagious energy that makes you want to collect, no matter how old you are. We are very proud to be able to add him to our roster of Heroic Inspirations recipients.”
