Don’t have a story about my experience for national hockey card day, but have a different story. I came across a post on Facebook a mother was looking for a bent/damaged 80’s Gretzky card for her son as she could not afford to buy a card in good condition. People were trying to sell her very high end cards for hundreds of $$. For some reason this made me upset. Her son is 8 years old and would have been satisfied with any card. So I sent him a signed Gretzky Upper Deck card team Canada for absolutely nothing along with a graded 10 Connor McDavid card. I’m not looking for any attention or praise I just thought that this story should be heard by other people. That was my only signed Gretzky card that I had. Have no regrets sending that boy those cards for his mom to give him for Christmas. She sent me a video of him opening the cards and his reaction was priceless worth everything I gave up.
