With NHL® releases like 2020-21 Upper Deck NHL Series One and 2020-21 Upper Deck NHL Tim Hortons now live in stores, the hockey card collecting season is officially underway. While we’d love to engage with fans in person at shows, that’s not really safe yet. So we have a great opportunity to do so through virtual events like the 2020 Virtual Sport Card Expo.
With general admission FREE to guests, this is an event collectors will not want to miss, especially if you are looking to complete your Tim Hortons or UD1 NHL sets! The schedule (all times Eastern Standard Time) has a lot of fun programming on the main stage, but fans can move freely from different virtual booths to engage with dealers and even collectors! Mark your calendar to attend the Upper Deck main stage session to get a feel for new Upper Deck NHL products and programs coming your way this season as our team presents from 2:00-3:00 p.m. PST/5:00-6:00 p.m. EST.
There are different ticket packages, however, that offer some very compelling content including special Upper Deck Team Canada promotional cards of Alexis Lafreniere and Quinton Byfield. Check out those packages before they are gone. Worthy of note, a red parallel version numbered to 100 was also created and used exclusively with Upper Deck’s Diamond Club customers.
There are some unique giveaways provided by Upper Deck that you can score just be registering, including this amazing Connor McDavid Up Close and Personal Upper Deck Authenticated piece! It would make the perfect backdrop for Zoom calls as more and more people set up at-home offices.
Another fun giveaway will be signed David Ayers Upper Deck “Above the Ice” autograph cards! These are planned to be used in a random draw over the weekend event with registered users.
“While nothing beats the sounds and smiles of seeing new Upper Deck packs being opened in person, we’ve created the next best thing with a Virtual Expo and our new Expo app with a MarketPlace where you can buy, sell and connect with your favourite dealers and collectors.” said Steve Menzie, official show promoter. ”Download the app for free for iOS or Android https://sportcardexpo.com/ve/app/ ”
“Upper Deck loves attending the semi-annual Sport Card & Memorabilia Expo ever year in Toronto, but the online programming lets fans from all over the world be a part of the fun,” said Chris Carlin, head of Upper Deck customer experience. “Interest in the collectibles industry is at an all-time high as folks look to reengage with their favourite hobbies at home. The Sport Card & Memorabilia Expo is a great opportunity for new collectors or seasoned pros to enjoy the hobby by visiting Upper Deck Certified Diamond Dealers in attendance and engaging in main stage activities. We can’t wait!”
