In sports, many would argue there is nothing quite as exciting as playoff hockey. That gets elevated again when you are talking about a Game 7 in the NHL® Stanley Cup Playoffs. And that is just what we have coming up between the Dallas Stars and the Colorado Avalanche when these teams take the ice on Friday, September 4.
Two shops in those regions will be going head to head creating a hobby rivalry as they represent their teams in the Upper Deck Stanley Cup Playoffs Tournament. Both shops have the opportunity to score a special Victory Box from Upper Deck with goodies for their customers if their team wins and advances in the playoffs.
In Colorado we have Mike Fruitman representing Mike’s Stadium Sportscards and the Colorado Avalanche.
We talked with Eric J. who is a longtime customer of Mike’s and here’s what he had to say about his favorite card shop:
“If you are looking for this year’s rookie sensation Cale Makar, superstar Nathan MacKinnon, or Hall-of-Famers like Roy, Sakic or Forsberg; Mike’s Stadium Sportscards is the place to go in Colorado. The selection is outstanding for both new and old products. Mike makes your experience well worth the trip to his shop with his knowledge and passion for the hobby!”
In Dallas we have Dean Fuller representing Nick’s Sports Cards and Memorabilia and the Dallas Stars.
We talked with Ron F. who has enjoyed the Nick’s experience and here’s what he had to say about his local card shop:
“Going to Nick’s is like Christmas every day of the year! Pure fun and joy! Great selection of hockey cards! Whether you are buying singles, packs, or boxes! Let’s start ripping!! Go Stars!!!”
Make sure to tune in on Friday to see which team will advance and which shop will keep cheering as they score from Upper Deck!
