In the wake of the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic, we are seeing new heroes emerge in our communities each day. They are grocery store employees, doctors, nurses, community activists and many more! Check out some of the heroes Upper Deck has honored with a COVID-19 Genuine Heroes card.
Nominations are now closed for the COVID-19 Genuine Heroes program. These cards are only available digitally and those selected received blow-up versions of their card.
The idea for this series comes from an existing insert from Upper Deck’s Goodwin Champions product. Upper Deck decided to shine a light on heroes off the sports field who are making a difference each day. The checklist from the 2018 and 2019 set includes police, military, teachers, members of fire departments and much more. Check out some of the cards!
These are perfect to share with kids as these heroes are incredibly inspirational and parents can be proud they collect these particular cards.
Collectors also love how unique they are and have worked to complete sets of these cards.
To honor military heroes, Upper Deck has also produced blow-up versions for veterans at different events. To see their reactions to receiving their very own cards is always incredible!
At Upper Deck, we believe we are in a position of privilege where we can thank our heroes by giving them their very own trading cards. Thanks to all the heroes making a difference each day!

Please dont forget, there are hundreds (used to be thousands) of Pilots, F/As, controllers, Firefighters ramp agents, techs, mechanics and fuelers, out there, and we and they the ones moving the medical supplies, the sick, the evacuated and doing it with skeleton staff, and at great risk!
Jerry with Belmont Sobeys needs to be recognized for starting the world wide trend of the Golden Hour for seniors. This took off like crazy, he absolutely deserves to be recognized #GenuineHeroes
I love this! I know a police officer I’d like to nominate! What’s the process?
Thank you!!

I would like to nominate Jason Chan-Remillard . he owns Pharmasave at Northmount in Calgary, AB Canada.
It is a pharmacy, he delivers to most of his clients, so the people do not have to go into the pharmacy and be worried about Covid-19.
You can pay via e-transfer, no charge for deliveries.
He has helped so many even prior to the Covid.
He has been my hero for what he has done for my family. I am talking my whole family, nieces, nephews, sister in laws and now my parents who have moved back to Alberta.
I nominate my daughter Penny works in the hospital, her two daughters Jesika and Selina who work in a seniors home, my other daughter Tania who is at home worker but is off sick but is at home making masks for her co-workers and my other granddaughter Kathy who is working in a food factory. All going to every day and working over time
Thank you
