Hi Vs. System 2PCG fans! Today’s theme is Return. Our first character is something of an expert at throwing things that return to him. Unless they explode. Or shatter. Or create a gravity field. Or get lodged into a target. Okay, maybe we need a new theme…
Each turn Boomerang can “throw” a boomerang that Boomerang hasn’t already thrown this game. For example, if Boomerang throws a Gasarang on one turn, he can’t throw a Gasarang on a later turn. (This restriction only applies to this copy of Boomerang. If you play another Boomerang or if this Boomerang leaves play and comes back, it will reset the restriction.)
You can choose a front row character on one side and a back row character on a different side. If there are no enemy front row characters you can just choose an enemy back row character (and vice versa).
Next up is a character who “returns” to the ready position.
Run Like the Devil will always ready Speed Demon the first time he attacks (unless he gets stunned in the combat). And if you have Grandmaster on your side, Run Like the Devil will ready Speed Demon again and again.
(Did you know Grandmaster gave Speed Demon his powers?! You did? Oh. Huh. I thought maybe you didn’t know. Well, that’s great.)
Our next character will always “return” to full health. (Unless he keeps getting stunned, I guess.)
All right, if you think Lizard’s Regeneration “returning” him to full health is a stretch for today’s theme, how about this? Next Issue will return to this character in a way that some might call “genius.”
Finally, our last preview really cracks me up.
After Shocker cracks into a safe, he “returns” to the scene of his crime to cover his cracks. (Like, the cracks he made when he cracked into the safe. Cracks.)
We hope you enjoyed today’s preview. Tune in next time for the Ultimate preview.
