We had a collector reach out to us inquiring about the best place to buy some of the new 2019-20 NHL® Allure cards because his hobby shop had sold out. He mentioned his son Nicholas had put the Allure cards on his birthday list and we got a kick out of seeing that he chose this new release over popular video games and a Columbus Blue Jackets hat he really wanted.

As part of our Upper Deck Random Acts of Kindness program (#UDRAK), we decided to help this father and son out by sending young Nicholas a fun package of product including Allure hockey cards. Little did we know all that would happen leading up to his birthday with regard to the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic. Nicholas’ father shared with us they had to cancel his birthday party and he was really down. When he opened the door to see the box from Upper Deck though, his father shared it really lifted his spirits.
Together the family enjoyed the products and Nicholas got a kick out of some of the cool insert cards he pulled. Although they were stuck inside, they had a lot of fun checking out the new release and talking about what they pulled.
His father shared, “Thank you again for everything, with his party being canceled and everything going on it really was awesome to have this amazing surprise for him.” We were happy to help come up clutch with the assist!
