Will it be Jack Hughes or Kaapo Kakko taken first overall at the 2019 NHL Draft™? We will find out when the sports world looks to Vancouver, BC for the two-day event on June 21 & June 22. Upper Deck will be on site to provide fans with a lot of fun activities, but shops throughout Canada can celebrate the Draft with a special promotion offered exclusively through Universal Distribution.

For several years, Universal Distribution and Upper Deck have partnered to host NHL Draft parties at shops. Upper Deck produces special promotional sets to make the events more fun!

Upper Deck is producing a special 12-card Draft Gems promotional set that will be available at the Draft, but also to Upper Deck Certified Diamond Dealers who participate through Universal Distribution. Shops will also receive a special Upper Deck Draft Gems poster where they can track where players went throughout the weekend event.

Worthy of note, some packs will have a special short-printed card GEM00 of a beloved hockey icon. We are not sharing who it is as of yet, but collectors in Vancouver especially will be looking for these cards after the release. Also, this will be the first of three series of this set which will be distributed around the 2019, 2020 and 2021 NHL Draft™ events.
