For over a decade, Upper Deck has put on an event called “Trick or Trade” where law enforcement agents are invited to the company’s corporate headquarters to score FREE packs of sports and entertainment cards to use for community outreach during the Halloween and holiday seasons. Upper Deck’s team got up at the crack of dawn to share packs with Police Officers, Sheriffs, Highway Patrol and Volunteers who visited throughout the course of the morning.
Staff enjoyed engaging with guests to hear how they planned to use the cards. One officer shared they used hockey cards with kids at the San Diego Gulls game while another shared the movie cards are great to use to build trust with youngsters in the community. The fact that cards are a safe and unique gift to use in the community makes them a great resource for these first responders.
There was a lot of excitement among our guests to check out the incredible Upper Deck Authenticated signed memorabilia on display in lobby. One talked about asking his wife for one of the items for Christmas.
Some officers got to check out Upper Deck’s Genuine Heroes cards from the Goodwin Champions product that feature firefighters, police officers and more.
With 2018-19 NHL® Upper Deck Series One product coming out this November, officers enjoyed posing with cutouts of new Young Guns rookie cards!
After the photo opp, they scored big with packs!
It was great to give back to these first responders to help them build trust in the community. With every day presenting new challenges, Upper Deck was proud to help give them another tool to help make their jobs a little easier. Happy Trick or Trade to all!
