An exciting aspect of Upper Deck’s National Hockey Card Day set is a new release of Upper Deck’s Victory Black rookie cards. Ten new rookies are available that will be randomly inserted into these packs.
Also available in packs are extremely rare autograph cards. In Canadian packs you can score autographs of Guy Lafleur, Mark Schiefele and Josh Ho-Sang.
In American packs you can find autographs of Pat LaFontaine, Ryan Kesler and Clayton Keller.
Each country’s packs also include some additional inserts as well.
American collectors can find an extension of Upper Deck’s popular Inaugural Images set for the Vegas Golden Knights of some of the team’s best players in Marc Andre-Fleury, James Neal, Alex Tuch, Jonathan Marchessault and Reilly Smith.
Canadian collectors are in store for a real treat. To celebrate National Hockey Card Day turning 10 years old, Upper Deck is producing some special 10th Anniversary Retrospective Young Guns rookie cards. Canadian collectors can find these cards of standout players who had a Young Guns rookie card in the last ten years like Connor McDavid, John Tavares, Nathan MacKinnon, PK Subban and Steven Stamkos.
At retail stores in Canada you can get a free 8-card sheet. The Hockey Hall-of-Fame, London Drugs, Toys ‘R Us, and Pro Hockey Life will also be participating providing 8-card sheets to fans on Saturday!
Fans attending the 2018 NHL® Stadium Series Game in Annapolis can also score free National Hockey Card Day packs by visiting the Upper Deck booth. We will also be hooking up fans with free personalized cards on site so don’t miss out on that!
We recommend collectors participating in National Hockey Card Day to call the shops they are planning on visiting prior to arrival. Many will have special promotions and offers available throughout the day so plan out your visits so you can be in attendance at the right time.
More than anything, we encourage fans to share this special day together. We love seeing imagery of families at shops to get their National Hockey Card Day packs. Together you are creating memories that will last a lifetime! Share your experience throughout the day with us via social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat (@UpperDeckSports) and make sure to use the hashtag #NHCD. Let’s make it a great day of collecting together!
