From the start of the 2017 Spring Sport Card & Memorabilia Expo until the end, Upper Deck made sure collectors were treated to a variety of memorable experiences. Collectors were incentivized to open new Upper Deck products with a variety of wrapper redemption programs both at the Upper Deck booth and at the Grosnor Break Zone. Not that they needed much encouragement however with another great rookie class for NHL® cards this season.
With many of the UD staff coming out for the event from San Diego, the team was sad to leave Cinco de Mayo celebrations back home, so they brought the festivities to Toronto for the show!
The Spanish garb seemed to bring good luck to many on that fateful Friday where rare Connor McDavid autograph rookie patch cards and Quad Diamond cards were found by lucky collectors!
Hundreds gathered around the Upper Deck booth for the Friday night raffle where more fans scored.
One thing fans all loved seeing throughout the weekend was the incredible Upper Deck Authenticated memorabilia on display and for sale.
Fans loved checking out items from top hockey stars and legends like Connor McDavid, Patrick Roy and Wayne Gretzky.
Collectors seemed to appreciate Upper Deck’s partnership with CIBC to produce the new Grandeur hockey coins (more information at HockeyCoins.com). These blind packaged collectibles feature a checklist with twenty top hockey stars and legends with four different levels of rarity.
Collectors could also purchase an entire set of UD Grandeur for loved ones and grandchildren which makes the perfect gift.
Next door to Upper Deck was the Grosnor Break Zone where collectors could open Upper Deck products in a fun environment while also taking part in the wrapper redemption programs offered at UD’s corporate booth. They could also score their very own personalized Upper Deck/Grosnor Pin It To Win It cards and Young Guns top loaders.
In the Break Zone there were a variety of great pulls from new Upper Deck products as well!
Great pulls could also be found at the Upper Deck booth all weekend long!
Customers were rewarded with Upper Deck Spring Expo packs for opening new product where they could score Parkhurst Priority Signings autograph cards or rare instant redemption cards for awesome memorabilia items.
For those who invested in cases of Upper Deck product, they were rewarded with bonus Upper Deck Spring Expo packs and also the opportunity to score an amazing card or memorabilia item.
Kids had a memorable time with Upper Deck as well checking out a variety of fun promotions and getting some cool giveaway items.
Grown-ups enjoyed giveaways like the Upper Deck Goon 2: Last of the Enforcers trading cards.
Huge crowds came out for the daily raffles as well where those in attendance could score trading cards, boxes, and signed memorabilia from UD.
Lastly, one of the most special giveaways at the show wasn’t claimed, but still can be. On May 17, 2017, the Upper Deck Bounty will officially debut in 2016-17 NHL® SP Authentic. Those who are the first to complete the 99-card Spectrum FX set and redeem it at UpperDeckBounty.com can score a special achievement bonus. More details on the promotion are available here: Upper Deck Bounty Press Release
To help create excitement for the program, there was a soft launch of the Upper Deck Bounty at the Spring Expo where collectors needed to complete the 200-card UD Midnight parallel set (cards numbered 251-450 which were available only in Upper Deck Spring Expo packs) to score a limited-edition Parkhurst Priority Signings autograph card of two top Toronto Maple Leafs rookies numbered to just two copies. Collectors at the show were not able to complete the set in time, so Upper Deck will extend the opportunity to fans that can complete the set until the launch of 2016-17 SP Authentic on May 17. Should you finish the set by that time, please contact us via email at [email protected] for directions on how you can submit your set for validation and claim your achievement card.
Thanks to all the fans who made the 2017 Spring Sport Card & Memorabilia Expo so much fun. We look forward to seeing you again in the fall on November 10-12, 2017!

Very cool – looked really busy and a lot of fun! I see a bunch of smiling faces.
Haha, my pic made it onto the blog! The guys and girls running the UD booth were great! Landed a Freddie Andersen Midnight Parallel and a Priority Signings Connor Brown on my packs. Can’t wait for the fall show promos!
