Over the past several years, emojis have become part of our daily conversations as we text or share messages with friends and loved ones online. Emojis have become a whole new language. Out of the thousands of emojis out there now, there is not one single emoji resembling a trading card.
Now many would love to see a trading card emoji like this, but the rules of emojis state that they cannot be branded by one company or be specific to a certain person.
At Upper Deck we know how passionate our fans and customers are about trading cards and that is why we wanted to create an emoji of a trading card that can be used to communicate that passion.

The beauty of this emoji is that it doesn’t represent one sport or one company. This trading card emoji can be used in any conversation!
To make this happen we need to show a group called Unicode Consortium that people want a trading card emoji. The Unicode Consortium is the deciding factor on what emojis can and cannot be added to the language of emojis. What do you think?
