Bryce Schimanski is one of Jim Rice’s biggest fans and early in his relationship with his girlfriend Suzanne realized this. She got him a 2004 SP Legendary Cuts 1-of-1 Jim Rice jersey card from Upper Deck as a gift one year. There are a variety of 1-of-1 jersey cards in that set for each particular athlete with the key distinction coming from the statistic on the card front. Little to Suzanne’s knowledge, when she gave Bryce that card it set off a quest with him to acquire as many of those cards as he could!
We met Bryce at the National Sports Collectors Convention with Suzanne who is now his wife as he updated us on his quest, showing off all the Jim Rice cards from that set he has found thus far.
