We all know how important it is to purchase from a Certified Diamond Dealer right? If not, just check out some of the videos made by other collectors on the subject by clicking here. Along those lines, if you are making online purchases, you need to make sure you are working through an Authorized Internet Retailer. You’ll know if you are if you see this logo on their website. If you don’t see that logo, Upper Deck will not be able to assist you if there are issues with the product you purchase through them.
We love to spotlight shops that are doing the right things that collectors should check out. Such is the case with Pittsburgh Sportscards. I’ve know Sean Bennett for several years now and he is very dedicated to the hobby and providing his customers with a great experience. He has been so successful that he has been able to open up additional retail stores where customers can find the latest Upper Deck trading cards and Upper Deck Authenticated memorabilia. If you ever make your way to the Pittsburgh area or if you just like shopping online, check them out!

Pittsburgh Sportscards was formed in 2002 when Sean Bennett of Bennett Wholesale and Ken Amoroso of Amoroso Enterprises joined companies. At the time, Pittsburgh Sportscards operated one 5,000 square foot facility in McKeesport, Pennsylvania with four employees. In the midst of a recession, Pittsburgh Sportscards has defied the odds by growing their business providing customers with a great experience when they visit in the store or shop online. The company now operates a 12,000 square foot facility still located in McKeesport, Pennsylvania and two Steel City Collectibles locations in Ross Park Mall right outside of Pittsburgh and in Westmoreland Mall just outside of Greensburg. The company now has a total of 16 employees working on the behalf of their customers in Pennsylvania and around the world.
One of the keys to their success is tied to their amazing selection of sealed product. One of Sean Bennett’s main goals is to have a box of every trading card ever made in stock. He will likely never accomplish that, but don’t tell him that as he is busy replenishing inventory every day. Once something goes out of stock, he is immediate looking to buy more back up to be able to provide his customers. Pittsburgh Sportscards has always prided themselves on a large selection, great prices and tremendous customer service.
Pittsburgh Sportscards is far more than just a trading card shop. They stock trading card supplies, gaming cards, official NFL and NHL jerseys (focused on the local market), and autographed memorabilia.
What’s more, they love to bring the experience to life for their customers. Looking to meet an athlete? Pittsburgh Sportscards has approximately 20 signings per year at their Steel City Collectibles locations. Guests that have appeared this year include Pittsburgh Steelers Joe Greene, Rocky Bleier, LC Greenwood, and Andy Russell as well as Pittsburgh Penguins Brooks Orpik, Tyler Kennedy, Mike Rupp, Deryk Engelland, Mark Letestu, Brent Johnson and Coach Dan Bylsma. For an updated list of signings make sure to visit the Steel City Collectibles website.
Recently, Pittsburgh Sportscards was selected to become an Authorized Internet Retailer for Upper Deck. Click on that logo on their website to find information on all upcoming Upper Deck products as well as promotional giveaways that include FREE Upper Deck merchandise, gift cards and autographed memorabilia just for ordering your Upper Deck product from us. They are always running different promotions so make sure to check them out.
In fact, right now Pittsburgh Sportscards is running a promotion around 2011 Upper Deck Soccer. Everyone who purchases a box between now and July 31, 2011 will be entered into a drawing for a signed Landon Donovan Upper Deck Authenticated blow-up card and four additional boxes of the product. Soccer fans may have heard about our Collect the Set & Win promotion we announced earlier this week. Pittsburgh Sportscards are a great resource for you to get the product you need to win that trip as well!
