Collectors are on the lookout for big pulls in 2011 SP Legendary Cuts Baseball which is set to release tomorrow. There is a shop in the Los Angeles area where the release of SP Legendary Cuts Baseball brings on a circus like atmosphere and that is where you will find me tomorrow. At The Card Connection in Newhall, California, the owner Chuck Neiman really goes above and beyond to track this product down for his customers. He has a very loyal group of customers who love this brand and tomorrow they will be opening over 15 cases of the product.
What wonderful surprises lie inside packs like this for collectors to find?
When you are opening that much high-end product, you will undoubtedly be witness to a few jaw dropping pulls. Chuck has been hosting an event around the release almost every year and in 2008 they saw something really amazing pulled when a long time customers scored a George Washington Hair Cuts card. They moved through 24 cases that day. As I understand it, the gentleman who pulled the Washington card will be in the store with it tomorrow. Most of Chuck’s collectors do not resell their big hits like these as they love to keep them for their collections.
WOW! Can you imagine the thrill of pulling a card like this from a pack?
This won’t be my first time up there for this event either. Chuck has a great group of customers that just love this product and it is so much fun to watch the foil fly as they search for authentic cut signature cards of their favorite baseball heroes. I will be bringing our Brand Manager for this product with me as well, Grant Sandground, so fans will be able to ask him more details about this product.
A booklet card from 2011 SP Legendary Cuts that has New York fans very excited features authentic cut signatures of eight players from the 1927 "Murderers' Row."
“At first customers had a little sticker shock at the price as Upper Deck has reconfigured it from 2009, but as I explained to them what they are getting and went through the checklist with them, they’ve been really excited,” said Chuck Neiman of The Card Connection. “My collectors seem to like that there will be less filler and more meat in 2011 SP Legendary Cuts Baseball with a cut signature card in every pack. Its crazy looking at the checklist, people are going to pull cards that will resell for five figures from this product. When you have potential pulls like that, the response to the product will be overwhelmingly positive.”
